Inked Angels: You’re from Australia right? What part?
Dani: I’m in Melbourne!
Inked Angels: How old are you?
Dani: Old enough to know better, young enough to party all night!
Inked Angels: What are your measurements?
Dani: 10e, and a size 8 on the bottom.
Inked Angels: What do you have for ink?
Dani: I have lots – arms, chest, back, right thigh, left calf, feet, tummy, ribs and a few more little ones.
Inked Angels: Is that a ‘Death Bat’ tattoo you have on your lower back? I’m guessing you’re a fan of Avenged Sevenfold?
Dani: Yup, since the early days.
Inked Angels: Do you have a favorite tat? Why?
Dani: This changes, sometimes it’s my stomach, sometimes it’s my ribs, sometimes it’s my…I can’t make up my mind.
Inked Angels: What was your first job growing up?
Dani: I worked in the canteen in the local cricket club.
Inked Angels: What got you started in the modeling industry?
Dani: Funnily enough, I started in the USA with Headsick Pinups.
Inked Angels: How long have you been modeling for?
Dani: Since 2005.
Inked Angels: If you were no longer able to model, which profession would you choose and why?
Dani: Where do I start? Clothing? Writing? I want to go back to school eventually, but I haven’t narrowed down what I want to do yet.
Inked Angels: In your opinion, what is the biggest misconception about alt models?
Dani: That alt modeling is porn – I will strongly say it is not.
Inked Angels: Do you have a favorite photographer that you enjoy working with?
Dani: I sure do, but I don’t want to single anyone out, it’s not fair. I would KILL to work with Dave LaChappelle one day. I also want to work with Cindy Frey, Holly Randall, Marz Photography, Jeremy Saffer and many, many more!
Inked Angels: You participated in PeTA’s ‘Ink Not Mink’ campaign where you were photographed almost nude holding a sign on a crowded street. How was it being naked in public in front of so many strangers?
Dani: Daunting, very daunting! I could have laughed and cried at the same time, but I snapped out of it. It wasn’t about me, it’s about the animals.
Inked Angels: How did you get started working with PeTA?
Dani: I had a totally random email from them and it went from there. I went and met their Australasian rep Fleur & Ward from Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses and had dinner, talked crap, and had an all around good time whilst organizing the protest. I flew to Sydney for the day/night to do something I am passionate about – animal welfare.
Inked Angels: Do you have any pets?
Dani: I personally don’t as I move house a lot, but almost everywhere I’ve lived we’ve had dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, and more. My family has always had animals in their lives. My dad claims his Jack Russell is my little sister.
Inked Angels: You’ve made appearances on TV and in movies, one of them being being in the movie ‘The Knowing’ with Nicholas Cage. What scene were you in and were you able to meet Mr. Cage?
Dani: I wasn’t able to meet him, but he walked past me and I think I pretty much jizzed in my pants!
