I just tried anal with my boyfriend. It took some convincing, but I’m totally into it now and want to do it with him. When we did it though, I got a burning sensation down there, which was quite uncomfortable. Is it because we’re using the wrong lube, or is it doing damage to me?

I am not a medical professional, so it’s hard to say what might be going on, however, what you are describing doesn’t sound particularly ‘surprising’ for your first time.
Anal sex often requires preparation, especially for the newbie. There is also a possibility you could have an allergy to the lube you were using. Take your time. There is a possibility you got an anal fissure (or tear) during your first time, which will burn until it heals. My recommendation would be to go slow – work up to it, and use anal toys to make you relax in that area before he penetrates you.
Anal can be such a fantastic experience, but if you push yourself beyond your limits and are in pain – you’ll be less likely to try it again in the future.
If the burning lingers for more than a few days, you might want to visit a doctor and see if he can prescribe something to help with the burning and to make sure it’s not something more serious.
Let me know how it goes! If you need any anal toys, I recommend NS Novelties’ Anal Training Kit (but there are tons of products on the market that are safe and effective).
